Greetings Readers:
On June 5, 2015, I published the first post on this blog. There was about a 2-year hiatus from 2021-2023 (hence the “ish”). At first, I had a goal of at least one post a week, which was to focus more about the process of scholarly writing and sharing calls for papers for books and articles. Now, it’s rare to have a weekday without at least one post, and it’s evolved into announcements for calls for papers and presentations, new publications, reading discussions, research surveys, editorial positions, awards, and bibliographies.
The posts range from a state or regional organization to international venues, with occasional posts in other languages (using Google translate). The fields represented include archives, museums, history, libraries, oral history, cultural heritage, digital humanities, records management, media, material culture, and more. I subscribe to around 150 newsletters, alerts, and blogs to find announcements, and occasionally receive notifications from others.
So far, there are over 1,500 posts, over 200 subscribers, over 114,000 views, over 61,000 visitors, and posts are shared on X, Facebook, Reddit, and email. Readers are primarily from the United States, as well as Canada, United Kingdom, India, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, South Africa, South Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, and many other countries.
I want to say thank you – for reading, contributing, and subscribing. Happy publishing!
